If your one of my blog readers then you may have noticed that I haven't posted too much recently. There are a few reasons and I feel that I owe you a bit of an explanation really so you don't think I've just dropped off the edge of the planet or something :S (if you follow me on twitter I had tweeted a few things). The posts will probably be a little delayed for a couple weeks just while I get over a few things - may be sooner, hopefully - I just need to get back on my feet first :)

First of all, I have been doing all of my exams at college, I've successfully passed Spanish now *YAY*. I just have my travel and tourism ones to go now - one where I have to stand up in front of the class and perform and pretend to be a travel rep... Everyone finds it ironic how I do modelling and cat walking yet I cant find the courage to do this -.- I need to mentally prepare myself... A lot!
So I have loads of coursework to do, and we will be planning the end of year / end of college party which is also part of our coursework.

The next reason is, that I have been a bit poorly recently and ended up in hospital. I was on drips, gas & air, medication etc and I was on nil by mouth for two days! They wanted to give me a blood transfusion too... but the worst part of being in hospital for me, was people around me that came to visit was drinking chocolate milkshake and I'm not even aloud water. I've had time off of college and work so that's just poo. While I'm recovering I just can't seem to stay awake for too long, literally yesterday we had family over for dinner at 1, I went to bed at half two and work up- at seven... then went back to bed at ten! The hospital said it was something to do with my liver etc and viral infections in there so it really took its toll! This wasn't caused by being skinny but that didn't help.

After all of this, I have decided that being strong is the new thing now. I am going to focus on that, I mean I was fit before but now I am going to go into 'beastmode' or something ;P Being skinny comes with so many risks, I mean I could have got this illness even if I was bigger but when it comes to times like this it really does make you realize. I get compliments on my figure a lot, and especially doing modelling it's the figure the industry see as ideal but in the real world - It's not healthy. I'm not going to put loads of weight on - I'm going to focus on strength and even muscle and to any out there who thinks muscle is manly, I'm not talking about being a cannonball or anything like that.

The pictures above are what I'm going to work towards. I would like to point out that this is not achieved with a poor diet, you must eat! This is not is any way 'thinspiration' because that's not healthy. I'm changing for the better now, I've been doing my squats being a good girl ahaha!
I will share my journey with you as I see progress, we now have a home gym weight lifting room so I will be taking full advantage of that. I've cut things like crisps out of my diet and have been eating lots of protein and vegetables, only drinking water and lots of it!

  1. I'm really sorry to heat for all the health troubles you had, girl! Fingers crossed it all goes away sooner than later.
    Getting fit and strong is a good resolution. I know for sure that being too skinny is certainly not healthy at all. Good diet, healthy food and exercising will certainly make you feel much better.
