Pink Nail art using BB Couture varnish

Hii! I've just got back from having my flu jab... I hateee jabs so my arm is like proper hurting. Playing it cool though, wouldn't want everyone to no I was wimpy ;P
Who watched the 1Dday? In England it was on from 7pm until 2am in the morning and I was trying to watch it, but my dad thought it was funny to keep shouting me to go to him, then say 'what you doing?' as if he never shouted me -.- I ended up going to bed at 12am, so I missed the last two hours of the 7 hour live stream, for anyone who actually managed, you should get a medal! I mean my bum had gone soooo numb it felt like I didn't even have one anymore! Went straight to sleep I did! Oh and anyone who follows me on twitter.. I apologize for all the #1DDayLive #GetInvolved tweets :o

Anyway, I'm back at college tomorrow so I thought I'd get on here and put a post up for you. I went through town after college last week and picked up some acrylic paint so I could attempt to paint my owl (I draw a picture, it looks okay until I paint it so I definitely need to practice!). I also got a paint pallet thingy. I have been looking into getting acrylic nail paint to do my nail art with to, but yesterday I saw a post on another blog about using the standard acrylic paint on your nails. Obviously you'd need to use a basecoat or it would stain them. So I thought heyy, what's there to loose, I'll try out this paint I got the other day.

I used BB Couture in 'Snow Bunny' which you can get here for $10.99 - They ship worldwide, I'm in England and I got them :)
I also used 'Diamond Dust' from BB Couture, you can get that here for $10.95. This varnish has sheer gold and green iridescent glitter to add that sparkle or the finishing touch to your nail art.
I love these varnishes, they are really good quality! They are all named something fun, they can be a little transparent but two coats is enough to be opaque. I like varnishes that are a little transparent sometimes as that means you could have something less bright or buildable depending on what shade you like. These varnishes also have the base coat, top coat and the colour all in one! However when doing nail art, I'd still use a clear top coat, to seal in the nail art paint and details you've added.
The nail art brush is double ended - brush one end and dotting tool the other end. This brush is from Avon, it's good, although I think I will buy more elsewhere soo I can do even smaller designs. Avon only had the one size or I could have bought more from them.

T create this look, I did two coats of BB Couture Snow Bunny, waited for that to dry. I then added a coat of Diamond Dust, because this nail art is a little simple for me to wear, I like my nails to be like BAM and just lots of small detail. But I'm trying out some new methods - I've mastered the marbling technique, I've used nail art pen things, which I though I should now move on to brush's which I'm finding a little hard to use my left hand to do my right as I tend to add to much pressure.
I then squeezed out a little of the acrylic paint and used my brush to start making lines across my nails. I find using the acrylic paint much better than using nail art pen applicators, or using a brush dipped in nail varnish as those can go a little stringy if I don't work fast enough and find myself wasting quite a bit of varnish because it starts to set before I've finished. Also, with the acrylic paint, you can clearly see when its dry as it goes dull and looks dry - instead of poking at varnish testing if its dry. Obviously because of that, you have to apply a top coat, to stop it cracking and it also puts the shine back into the paint.

Above is my finished nail art. I will be getting a tripod, so I will be going through my nail art and starting up full tutorials for you to watch. Black Friday Deals!

29/11/2013
Hi! I'm still poorly, starting to regret having the flu jab now that it's given me the flu the day after I had it. Been ill since Monday -.-
I had been getting loads of emails with deals for Black Friday which is today... Admittedly I didn't no what Black Friday was *the shame* ;P

Black Friday is the Friday after the Thanksgiving Day in the United States, known to many as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. In the recent years, most major retailers have opened extremely early and offered promotional sales to kick off the holiday shopping season, similar to Boxing Day sales like right here in the UK.

Thanksgiving is followed by a weekend, this supposedly increases the number of potential shoppers. It has routinely been the busiest shopping day of the year since 2005, although news reports, which at that time were inaccurate, have described it as the busiest shopping day of the year for a much longer period of time. Shops obviously want to take advantage of this, virtually all retailers in the country, big and small, offer various sales. Recent years have seen retailers extend beyond normal hours in order to maintain an edge, or to simply keep up with the competition. Such hours may include opening as early as 12:00 am or remaining open overnight on Thanksgiving Day and beginning sale prices at midnight.

With all the emails being sent to me (I mean loads!) I assumed it was only in America, however it was only this morning I saw it on the news saying that the UK is now doing the whole 'Black Friday' thing. It was questioned on the news weather these are 'genuine' sales, and apparently they are very big sales so if you are wanting to get your christmas gifts in early, or some goodies for yourself etc then now could be the right time!... Only I'm poorly and I'm really not up to going round all the shops *booo*

If you didn't no about the 'Black Friday' price cuts, deals and all that and you don't have time to get round the shops, or maybe your reading this at work, school, college or whatever and you can't get into town then might want to do some online shopping?! I'm going to share with you below some deals, voucher codes, discount codes, half price, basically some of the Black Friday stuff I've got saved from online fashion/jewellery/nail/beauty etc stores... But remember these only last for today, Black Friday! You can image title and be taken straight to the websites :)

(also has free delivery worldwide for Black Friday only.)

I think I'm going to leave it at that - I might come back and add some more later though :P
Has anyone bought anything from the Black Friday sales? Got your eye on anything in the sales?

BB Couture nail varnish, nail art

Hii! Hope your all okay! It's nearly Christmas, and I have some Christmas posts coming up on the run up. Its getting quite busy :)
Who has been watched 'I'm a Celebrity get me out of here' last night? I can't believe the men crying and in Joeys case screaming, could you call that screaming when he parachuted from the helicopter? Oh! and when he said  'I'm not a confrontational person. I'll only confrontate them if they start on me.' That is all I've heard on the news and shows today :/ I mean I thought that is a word? I don't really nno many of the people on the show, but I want Amy Willerton to win!
Back to the topic... I was sent some nail varnishes from BB Couture. I have used two of them in this nail art look. If you have saw the galaxy fashion trend, you can imagine the sort of look were going for.

I used a range of nail brands, 'tech'nic', 'Nails Inc' 'LA Colours' and the main ones were the BB Couture - the reason I decided to do this look.

These are two of the nail varnishes from BB Couture. BB Couture wanted a healthier nail polish so they skipped the formaldehyde skipped the toluene and of course we skipped the DBP. They then added extra pigment for more vibrant colors; they added base coat, strengtheners and top coat.
I wasn't sure how this works, how can you apply a base coat when your not applying it to the base but with the varnish? I'm still not sure now. However I have tried these on their own, I have quite brittle, bendy nails so polish can flick off when my nails bend unless they are strong enough.
These varnish didn't flick off, chip or peel so I'm really happy with these!

The pink varnish is 'We love the ta tas'. The purple says 'naughty navigator' on the bottle but on the website that name is grey.. I think this one is actually 'Manipulative Martin' You can copy/paste those onto their website and you will find them :)
These nail varnishes cost $10.95 USD - They ship international, but if by chance they can't ship to you they will return your money and recommend another company that will ship BB Couture products to you. I'm from the UK and they delivered to me :)

I used these 1.5mm rhinestones from MoYouLondon which cost only £2.99! These are very versatile so you can use them to add detail to your current nail art, you could try the Japanese nail art (I think I'm going to give that a go) - you will need a range of rhinestone shapes and acrylic details too.

The picture above is my nails and the look I created. The galaxy nails are quite effective, as you can do so many different designs with the same colours, you could use more orange on one, more dark colours on another, you just have to experiment to get a look you like.
I thought these BB Couture nail varnishes were perfect for this look, the 'Manipulative Martin' varnish is especially good as it adds some sparkle along with a silvery purple tint, this can be blended with so many other colours on the nails with this look to create different shades etc.
I will be doing a tutorial  for this nail art look and uploading it to this blog so watch out!
You might want to join this blog - under the followers tab on the right near the top to be notified when I do the tutorial for you.

Do you like this nail art look? Have you tried the galaxy nail art before? What do you think of the BB Couture varnishes?

Thankyou Kettle Chips! :)

I would just like to say a big thank you to Kettle chips, I won their potato week competition and I thought I would do a quick post to show you the prize :)

I won 12 150g bags of Kettle chips in various flavours. The answer to their competition is; There are 3 potatoes in a 150g bag of Kettle Chips.

You can definitely taste the quality of the crisps, the flavours aren't as strong. However it tastes much more natural. My favourite flavour so far (I haven't tried them all yet) is smoked paprika, the sea salt and balsamic vinegar were a strange packet - they taste cold and almost melted in your mouth.

Anyway I'm going to leave this post now, as I am preparing another and also doing my coursework.
Have you tried Kettle Chips? What is your favourite flavour?

London Business Trip

So this week I haven't been able to post because I was away in London on a business and tourism trip. Here's basically what we did...
My friend decided to go to sleep on the train, another was listen to her music and reading a newspaper, and the one next to me was talking on her phone for like the whole trip! Sooo I decided to start throwing tissue balls at my friend in front of me (I picked them up of course.. I'm not a litterer ;) when we got there we had to pull our suitcases to the hostel, at this point I wished I took a smaller suitcase because it weighed a flipping ton!

We went and dropped the bags off in London then all headed off into London Town, the teachers said we had until 4 when we had to meet them back at Kings Cross Train Station. We all split up into small groups and went off to do our own things, my friend was worried about getting lost... No need my friend ;) I come here on my own when I catwalk and that so I was pretty confident we wouldn't get lost. Instead of going round all of the shops we decided to take at many photos of yourself as we could. She's got a big flashy camera so it was like a photo shoot ahaa
As you can see, it was chucking it down with rain *Stupid Weather* and it was not good for my hair on the photos -.-
I had random people stopping and watching in a crowd and coming up to me asking if they could take a photo with me... I didn't no what to think really, I'm not use to talking to lots of strangers so I kind of avoided them *sorryyyy* O.o
I have so many photos from the London trip, but I guess I'll only upload one bease I don't want to make this post go on and on and on ;)
Some of my friends said they saw Luke Friend from X Factor in McDonald's on that Wednesday but didn't go up to him because he had someone with him... I would have gone and say hi if I saw him!
My teacher said she saw a supermodel having a photo shoot in the street, I didn't see either of them, or any famous people, Ohhh well :/

Now I'm from a tiny village so the view from the hostels' window.. Well I've never seen so many Chimneys in one place in my life!

The beds were pretty small, the room had four of us in it and it didn't have it's own bathroom/toilet room it just had a sink in the middle of the room, I didn't like this.
We ended up staying awake telling stupid stories in the room until about 2/3 in the morning and had to be up and getting ready for 6! We definitely wished we had of just gone to sleep :P
I didn't book this hostel so I didn't have a choice, but I can safely say, I'm never staying in that place again :/

So that was me blabbing on about anything again ;) Please do join this blog (under the followers tab on the right near the top)

Hottt Rhinestone Tag Bracelet

If you've saw the Hotttshit.com posts I have done before, you should no that Hotttshit have been re-branded and are now known as Hottt.com.
I have been away for a few days in London on a business trip and had no internet so I hadn't replied to emails or made any posts on here - apologies!
Anyway, I was sent a Rhinestone Tag Bracelet from Hottt.com which I am in love with! I love wearing it, personally I think the quality is immense, it looks pretty expensive!
Hottt.com donate a portion of their sales to charity every month and if you 'like' them on Facebook they will donate an additional 5 cents. You can get more information on their monthly selected charity by signing up to their email newsletter.

This is the tag bracelet. I'm sure we've all bought some sort of jewellery with rhinestones that just look fake, don't sparkle or just look dull? I can tell you now that this bracelet is none of those! The rhinestones are light and shiny, catch the light and each twinkles away.

The chain is large links, with the right shade of gold, not too shiny neither.

I really really, really love this bracelet! XD
I've wore it and I've been asked 'who's the lucky guy that got you that then?' *I'm a loner, don't have a guy to buy me jewellery :P*
If you would like to get this bracelet you can get it here from Hottt.com for only $17 $8!

Do you like this bracelet? Have you got anything from Hottt?
