w7 eye products!

Hi!! I hope your all well! I have been working on building up my YouTube and as a result I have been asked to do people's makeup for Halloween and a couple events so that's all good. I if you would like to checkout my YouTube its here. Its going to have nail art tutorials, special effects makeup, lip art, fantasy and character makeup. Hopefully eventually I will end up doing vlogs, 'does this product work?' and anything else that may come up or what my subscribers want :)

So I got these products from W7...

This mascara makes the lashes super black, and gives nice volume. I use lash curlers always anyway as I think that makes your eyes look more awake and bright but this mascara does also help with curling them.

For me, eyeliner is an essential product. I mainly wear waterproof gel liners - I do live in England and I don't want to risk loosing my liner when it rains! When I tested this product on my eyelids with a winged liner look; I was really happy with the results. However later on when I was trying to get on with my writing I got something in my eye and it was really bugging me. Of course I ran to the mirror and saw that the liner was cracking and little bits was falling off and a bit went in my eye. So today I wanted to show you kind of what happened, the left line is a dried line that's been left for about five minutes and the right line is one I freshly drew. As you can see the left one is slightly faded and is already cracking.

This is the 'Perfect Eyes' eye shadow, I really like this! I have worn it in a couple of videos for my YouTube too. It can be worn really subtle and blended out which just gives a nice sparkle. Or you can pack a bit more on, maybe a bit on the inner corner and it looks perfect :)

Waterproof makeup testing!

I have been back at college this week which has been surprisingly good, ive not got long left at college now so im going to put a lot of time back into my work to try and get the distinction :) it will be a bit hard as ive lost weeks while ive been ill but im sure if I stop getting so easily distracted I can get my head down and the work done.

I have saw so many people posting asking what drugstore makeup is good for summer, swimming, tough against humidity and wont budge easily. So ive took it upon myself to dive into this one. 

Before I even start to review these products, I am not saying you need a face full of makeup to go swimming or on holiday, nor that you need any - but people are asking so I am answering.

So today at lunch break I went into town I got a couple more 'drugstore' makeup items for summer that claim to have good waterproof and tough ability to not budge. I had done some research into waterproof makeup, watched tutorials etc and I went out and got a couple of things a few weeks back - to cut a long story short I wasn't happy with them. Possibly this is because other people put the makeup on and then simply dipped it in water... what happens when your splashing around in water and the makeup gets a bit bashed around? 

I had previously bought  a few Rimmel London Skandal'eyes eyeshadow sticks. Now these products say on the 24hr and waterproof. 

From that i expected them to not budge. Boy was I wrong! I went swimming with some friends and the black and the white smudged all over, I wasn't wearing much but I wanted to review some waterproof makeup as ive saw many people asking about the best ones. The product gives a nice high-shine luminous finish, the sticks are smooth... In my opinion the sticks were too soft, even after waiting 10 minutes, if you wipe your finger over it the product will slide.

I have tried technic aquamax, the product is a nice natural mascara which adds volume, length and darkens the lashes without clumping. I can wear this one on a daily basis as I like the natural look. However, when I went swimming it just ran off. The other day at work it was raining, like proper slinging it down and once again off the mascara went. Obviously I don't wear this mascara for its 'waterproof powers' as I've yet to see them, I just wear it as a normal mascara. I was very disappointed with that product overall. However I wouldn't say the brand is bad, I have many nail varnishes from technic - they're great for nail art too! I just don't like this product as it doesn't do 'what it says on the tin'.

Today I went into superdrugs and was going to buy more scandaleyes eye-shadows in other colours and give them a go. 

Then I came across the Collection range of products and saw that they also have eye shadow sticks which also say waterproof. So I put back the scandaleyes and got two of these so I could test and compare. 

I've come home and put some on my hand, instantly I could tell the difference between these and the scandaleyes. These ones don't look wet and give a more natural look and are super bendable; the pencil its self isn't as soft and breakable. These collection ones dry super quick, I then tried rubbing them - they wouldn't budge. Ran them under the tap - still didn't budge. I think these eye-shadows are great waterproof eye makeup. As you can see in the video clip above, the two scandaleyes smudge and slide all over with not much pressure whereas the collection ones stay put - To test how strong they are for when water bashes at them, I'm a rough swimmer haha) They are in natural shades too so you can look pretty and natural this summer :)

The next thing is eye liner, I had read that gel liners are the best products for being waterproof. So had bought Rimmel London gel liner, I did basic winged eyes and then went swimming (the same occasion as the Rimmel London scandaleyes eye shadows) however I was really happy with this product. It did fade a little but that wasn't a problem. This product says it's 24 hour wear, no smudging smearing or flaking and is also a waterproof formula. I usually use liquid formulas so this took a bit of practicing.

I also purchased the Rimmel London volume x10 waterproof mascara which was good for volume and length, this product stayed on nicely. No running, no smudging and no bits falling onto my cheeks or anything.

I bought this Collection 2000 a while ago and opened it recently. This is good for length and colour, I don't particularly think the volume was anything much but it looks more natural which is the look I prefer. I went swimming in this and it did loose its length a little but didn't run or smudge.

I don't have bad skin I general so I don't cover my face in foundation, I put a little under my eyes and on my nose to even out the skin tone. Personally I think sun cream on my face is more important to have on my face than foundation when I'm on holiday, although the foundation I use is SPF 15 i think. I have saw foundation on the internet during my research, however if your on holiday its best to let your skin breathe. I could be wrong but I imagine they would be very thick etc and not good for your skin. I had read that cream foundations are best if you find it necessary to wear it. Obviously matt foundations are probably not the best option as they wont be matt once they're wet. For that reason I don't use powder to set the foundation under my eyes, my skin is not oily so my foundation doesn't shine.

A good cream foundation that I love is one by Mehron which is the Celebre pallete. This contains the most popular shades of the Pro HD in a lightweight pallete. I use the lightest shade for highlights and one of the medium tones for contouring, I find that these stay on when I go swimming without streaking. They are very thick creams so I only use a little amount, I can use the highlighting shade daily, however I tend to use a powder for contouring (quicker) unless swimming then I use this but I love love love this pallete!

This final product isn't a waterproof one however it's great for summer and also something I got for FREE! Superdrugs had/has an offer on where if you spend... I think it was £3.99 you get a limited edition Mardi Gras lip balm for free. It smells of strawberry sooo good! I had picked one of the up to buy, then browsing I saw there was an offer to get it for free so even better :)

Mehron and Sarah G cosmetics makeup look!

guess what?! I made dinner today for my family... yes that's a big deal because I can't cook, but I can cook some Italian dishes so that's what I did :) I can bake pretty good too so I did a rocky road cake for dessert #yummy :) I don't think i poisoned anyone either so its all good, accept for burning my finger - which ive got in a glass of icy water as I'm writing this post!! :P

Just a quick update too... I didn't win the 'box of omg competition' but I got messaged from them saying it was a close one though, which makes me feel a little better I guess ahaha. I will be entering again though when I get he next box so please help me out again, I'm very grateful to each and every one of you who 'liked, shared and commented' the the video entry! :D

To the post! I have created this eye makeup look which I think is pretty simple and easy for you all to do. I've done a picture tutorial for now but I will be filming tutorials too which I will upload to my youtube channel. I have a few nail art tutorials already up and I'll also be doing special effects ones so if any of that sounds good to you, please subscribe to it :)

This is a combination of Mehron's velvety smooth E.Y.E powder eye shadows and Cheek powders. They never cake or crease! They blend really nicely and super evenly so you can create dynamic eyes and vibrant cheeks goon enough for the red carpet, on screen and stage - these products are actually used for that so you know that if this stuff is worn by people who are super concious of their looks, they can't have it fading, creasing or looking cakey, then you will look amazing too! This product came with a brush which I love because it's so soft and flexible. I got this from Treasure house of makeup.

This is the Precious Jewels eye palette from Sarah G, it has a mix of rich jewel colours which are super blendable and pigmented. You could wear a single colour or create your own look! It came with a tool which has a brush one end and a smudger on the other so basically you have everything you need to use this pallet!

I started off by using the lightest shade from Mehron's eye/cheek pallet and I brushed that across the whole of the eyelid. I then used the white from the Beauties Factory pallet to apply to the inner part of the eye and a little underneath - this also helps your eyes look more awake! Then I used the purple shade from Sarah G and applied to the crease, then applying a thin line under the eye with the blue from Sarah G pallet too. I din't apply too much of any of these products I wanted to add a more glamorous look with some more products without looking caked in makeup.

I struggle to use the brush which comes with the eyeliners so I used the one above and dabbed a little of eyeliner fluid onto it. I applied that above and into my lash-line, following my bottom eye line up to do the 'wing', I didn't want that to be too dramatic so I didn't bring the 'wing' out to far. I then used a Mehron Kohl eye liner to line the water line. I got out my Precious Gems powders (which I love!), applied the Opal one to the inner corner of my eye to the center - it has a lovely sparkle, but not too much. Then I applied the Amethyst shade into the crease and towards the wing and blended it in. Finishing off the look with Max Factor WILD MEGA VOLUME mascara.

I now aplologize as my camera battery died so I had to switch to using my iPod camera

I did this look right before going to bed so I only had enough time to do one eye ahaha! However I think you can see how much bigger this eye makeup look makes your eyes look! It's nothing too dark and it's super easy to do! :D

IBeautyFix eyeshadows

I broke up from college about a month ago so I should be relaxing! But nooo! I have been busy with ffh, I have loads of businesses contacting me to collaborate with them, I have contacted some too, so basically I have loads of posts lines up with fantastic fashion/beauty/fitness/hair businesses that I am so excited to share with you! I received three eye shadows from IBeautyFix 

Here are is a photo of the eye shadows open. The three shades are:

No 9. Light Grey

No 6. Lavender

No 4. Orange Gold

Here is a close up of one of the eye shadows cases.

I swatched the eye shadows on my hand to show you the shades of each. 

The eye shadows have a very soft powder which makes the application easier. 

They contain natural plant oil extract to moisturize and protect the skin. It also contains micro fit powder to give it staying power!

The colours aren't dark so it means you can apply a natural looking shade, or you can build it up to make it more noticeable.

You can create many looks with these eye shadows. You can make it flirty, smokey or natural. 

I decided to apply all three shades at once, starting with No 6 to the inner corner of my eye lid and half the eye line underneath. I then applied No 4 to the middle section of the eye lid and No 9 on the outer side of the eye lid getting darker towards to the side and also half a line under the eye line. Blending all the colours in to create the gradient.
