Mehron and Sarah G cosmetics makeup look!

Hi!!!
guess what?! I made dinner today for my family... yes that's a big deal because I can't cook, but I can cook some Italian dishes so that's what I did :) I can bake pretty good too so I did a rocky road cake for dessert #yummy :) I don't think i poisoned anyone either so its all good, accept for burning my finger - which ive got in a glass of icy water as I'm writing this post!! :P

Just a quick update too... I didn't win the 'box of omg competition' but I got messaged from them saying it was a close one though, which makes me feel a little better I guess ahaha. I will be entering again though when I get he next box so please help me out again, I'm very grateful to each and every one of you who 'liked, shared and commented' the the video entry! :D

To the post! I have created this eye makeup look which I think is pretty simple and easy for you all to do. I've done a picture tutorial for now but I will be filming tutorials too which I will upload to my youtube channel. I have a few nail art tutorials already up and I'll also be doing special effects ones so if any of that sounds good to you, please subscribe to it :)

This is a combination of Mehron's velvety smooth E.Y.E powder eye shadows and Cheek powders. They never cake or crease! They blend really nicely and super evenly so you can create dynamic eyes and vibrant cheeks goon enough for the red carpet, on screen and stage - these products are actually used for that so you know that if this stuff is worn by people who are super concious of their looks, they can't have it fading, creasing or looking cakey, then you will look amazing too! This product came with a brush which I love because it's so soft and flexible. I got this from Treasure house of makeup.

This is the Precious Jewels eye palette from Sarah G, it has a mix of rich jewel colours which are super blendable and pigmented. You could wear a single colour or create your own look! It came with a tool which has a brush one end and a smudger on the other so basically you have everything you need to use this pallet!

I started off by using the lightest shade from Mehron's eye/cheek pallet and I brushed that across the whole of the eyelid. I then used the white from the Beauties Factory pallet to apply to the inner part of the eye and a little underneath - this also helps your eyes look more awake! Then I used the purple shade from Sarah G and applied to the crease, then applying a thin line under the eye with the blue from Sarah G pallet too. I din't apply too much of any of these products I wanted to add a more glamorous look with some more products without looking caked in makeup.

I struggle to use the brush which comes with the eyeliners so I used the one above and dabbed a little of eyeliner fluid onto it. I applied that above and into my lash-line, following my bottom eye line up to do the 'wing', I didn't want that to be too dramatic so I didn't bring the 'wing' out to far. I then used a Mehron Kohl eye liner to line the water line. I got out my Precious Gems powders (which I love!), applied the Opal one to the inner corner of my eye to the center - it has a lovely sparkle, but not too much. Then I applied the Amethyst shade into the crease and towards the wing and blended it in. Finishing off the look with Max Factor WILD MEGA VOLUME mascara.

I did this look right before going to bed so I only had enough time to do one eye ahaha! However I think you can see how much bigger this eye makeup look makes your eyes look! It's nothing too dark and it's super easy to do! :D

Yellow Polka Dot nail tutorial with optional bows

Heyy! :D
I'm back at college tomorrow *boooo* I actually don't mind college I just don't like that days teacher... I constantly get told off. I mean I know I'm a bit immature, I like to have a laugh but I always do my work, the other teachers let us talk while we work - but nooo this one wants us to be silent. All day. -.- Me? Silent? ahaaa I'm only quiet when I'm around people I don't no :s

Because it's new year, sooo many people have made new years resolutions. Most people probably won't even keep them. Apparently this time of year, gyms see the most people signing up, but people drop out after a little while. People say they will go on a diet, not eat chocolate, not drink wine etc. Why make a big sacrifice like that when you won't keep it? I sure as hell wouldn't be able to cut out chocolate completely! O.o Just be healthier and have less, I no it can be easier said than done, but it's easier than having none! Why don't we make resolutions that make us a better person? Like helping more people, to try and make at least one person smile a day, to give without a reason, to give a cup of tea to a homeless person?

Any way I have been promising to film nail art tutorials for a while, instead just showing you the pictures. I told you I've got a little tripod for Christmas and so... I've recorded a nail art tutorial. I have started off with something super simple, as I wasn't sure on how to record the angles and how to film the tutorial in general. I was also nervous with it being my first tutorial so my voice sounds weird :S I will make sure to improve in videos to come! :) I won't be doing as many voice over the videos, I will be speaking on the camera to you, but I am starting off simple :)

This is the basics of this tutorial, I hadn't cleaned up around the edges at this point as I hadn't finished the tutorial. You could wear yours like this if you don't want to do the bows - that's optional. Just make sure to give it a glossy top coat to stop the acrylic paints from coming off and the nail varnish from chipping.

This is the finished polka dot nail art look. I used crystals for the centre of the bows, however if you don't have those then you could use silver nail polish and/or a glitter polish. Like I said, the bows are optional so you could just do the polka dots.

The main nail varnish I used was a 'one coat' By Nella. You can get this from MoYouNails here for £7.99 now £5.49.

The Lady Is A Vamp

It's October... That means Halloween is coming! If your feeling the vibe you might want to check this out!

Selena Gomez previously wore this lace Gothic dress which I think is so on trend right now. I think the short at the front and long at the back is a really nice style and means you don't have to reveal to much. - This is a style that so many stores on the high street are inspired by and are now recreating this kind of look, especially with the lace on the neck, although I think some stores are going a little OTT with the lace necks.

Three of the Saturdays vamped it up..

lashings of black lace and dark vampy makeup, they almost look like they're from a scene from ace 90s Gothic chic flick The Craft! (That's is a good thing)

If you like the vamp trend, there are many ways you can wear this without going full on goth - unless you want to go full on goth of course. You could wear a vampy outfit, with natural makeup. You could add vampy accessories to everyday outfits, I find myself wearing big studs and spikes as a casual look but it gives your outfit that edge. Vamp looks great as evening wear with lashings of gold jewellery too.

Hair Bow tutorial

The hair bow is popular with the celebs, it's something we look at and thing it's been clipped on because you just can't do that with your hair. Well. You can!

There are many different styles you can try, half up half down, all up, top of the head, back of the head etc. Check out below to see a quick simple tutorial of the all up to of the head bow.

*it may help to add some hair spray to your hair before to give it a more grip and a more manageable texture that won't slip out as you are making your bow.

1. brush all your hair up a high little more forward than a ponytail, so it's more on top of your head. On the last tie of the band from the back, only half pull through your hair so the rest is at the front of your head.

2. Separate the  'slinky' on your head into two equal parts. Pull them a little from the top to make sure they're even. Spray some hairspray onto both parts and pin the bottom of each down with bobby pins.



3. The excess piece of hair at the front is used to finish the bow. gather it together and pull it over the bow to the back.


4. Use a bobby pin to tuck the hair under at the back.

* If you want to add a shine to your hair and have blonde hair you can use the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Gleam Crem which is designed for blonde hair so it won't dull or darken your hair.

Shops are selling clip on bows and they can be expensive, it can be hard to get your colour match. But saying that, you can get some amazing ones that really are 'da bomb' but I guess you get what you pay for. It's worth paying a little more if it looks natural and is going to last longer. I will be reviewing clip on pieces on here soon so keep an eye out! Or you could join the blog to be notified when the post is launched! :)

I did find it tricky to do the hair bow myself the first time, but actually it's pretty easy!

Easy 60's hair up-do tutorial

Hi everyone! So I came across this video and I thought I'd share it with you all. It looks pretty easy and I'm going to give it a go myself. I quite like vintage hairstyles, and the big up-do's. If you've read my previous posts you will see the extra large bun ring I purchased. And recently I've been quite fascinated with Amy Winehouse's hairstyle, although I don't think I would actually be brave enough to wear my hair that big. I mean its mahoosive!

I love this hairstyle, it looks like something you'd go to a salon to do. And why go to a salon if you can do it yourself? Loads of celebs wear hair up-do's like this on the red carpet, it pulls the hair away from the neck and gives the outfit a very elegant look.

Graffiti Nail art

Have you ever walked past some graffiti and thought, WOW thats some pretty cool stuff! I am not saying its right (because I don't agree with it at all), but there is some amazing artwork that goes into some of them. I think there should be places, like special walls for them where they can go paint the walls and people can go to look at them if they want to.

Anyway... more to the point. Some graffiti is inspiring, you can take a piece of graffiti and turn it into something new! Theres so many you can find thats pefect to do this!

I don't think the picture really does the nails justice, but anyway; I used graffiti to get this nail art design, again I used LA Colours nail varnish that I was given to do this - www.lacolours.com these are the main colours I used:

Then the pink and the black fine details are some cheap varnishes I got off of ebay. I will be adding video tutorials to do my nail art once ive got my camcorder, but for now heres the simple instructions :)

1 - paint the whole nail green (u did about three coats)

2 - from the outside to the in, swipe the black cross one side, then do the same for the other so you get a good triangle shape

3 - outline the black triagles with pink paint (nail art pen, coctail stick etc)

4 - DOODLE AWAY! :)

5 - add a top coat to keep the nail safe :)

Stawberry Curls

Comb hair to release tangles and then section off a 1-inch piece of hair. Open the Strawberry Curl curler and wrap the section of hair around the curler starting at the very tip of the hair. Twist the Strawberry Curl lock in place and move to the next section of hair. To avoid curler lines, section hair off randomly, starting at the top of your head and moving to the sides and back. For tight curls, wrap the foam curlers tightly and close to the scalp. For softer more natural- looking curls, wrap the curlers loosely, using larger sections of hair.

Dry your curls using a hair dryer, or let them dry overnight while you sleep!

Untwist the Strawberry Curl curler and gently unroll the foam curlers from your hair one at a time. If a piece of hair snags on the curler, take the time to gently pull the snag free, so you do not damage your hair. Nail art gradient nails - inspired by Malibu - LA Colours

So I was given a range of LA Colours nail varnish to play around with and post pics on my blog about them. I've created quite a few looks, but since its almost summer holidays (which need to come quicker!) I decided to do first inspired By malibu! :) I have my Video recorder on the way in the post, so soon I will be able to show you how to do nail art with a video :D

There are so many celebs right now that are sporting amazing nail art, and if you wanna learn how to get that look.. Then you've come to the right place!

So heres a picture of a beach in Malibu with the sun setting, it looks gorgeous! Can't wait for my holiday! :D

 I was given a wide range of colours, but these are the ones I used:

They are really nice colours, they have nail hardening in them, and they're also chip resistant! But the 'shock' colour is actually more yellow than that blob, it bright yellow actually...

Here's a picture of everything I used to create the look

Red - LA Colours

yellow - LA Colours

orange (Atomic) - Nails inc

black - ebay

maximum growth & hardener (i use for basecoat) - Sally Hanson

Top coat - LA Colours

foundation sponge - can get from most supermarkets and beauty stores

fine brush - ebay

wooden stick - from a nail kit

How to do it:

(this will be a video when my camcorder gets here)

1. Paint all nails with the maximum growth and wait to dry.

2. Paint all of the nails yellow and wait to dry.

3. use the sponge to dab the orange from the bottom of the nail to the middle, allow to dry.

4. use the same sponge to dab the red from the bottom of the nail to 1/4 up, allow to dry.

5. use the black polish and the paint brush to draw a plam tree on the left of the nail.

The Final Look

 So above is me sporting the finished Malibu gradient palm tree nails, and I really like them! the colours are bright and they arn't fading like some varnishes do. they have that glossy look - which makes them hard to photo as they're just so shiny! so if you like these colours then head on over to http://www.lacolors.com/ and get yours now! :)
