Take a walk on the wild side...

Hiiii! How are you all? Just a quick update on the last post where I said I had an interview... I got the job :D It's somewhere super nice - a woodland holiday destination, and its a lovely place to take photos and I just love it there :)

back to the post, I am loving animal prints at the moment.. Well actually I always love animal prints. I often find myself wearing animal prints and not even noticing, like at college a use a Dalmatian print bag, shoes with leopard print on, tops with leopards or tigers on, my new edition was the lion leggings and now....I got these lovely shoes from SkyScraperHeels

These shoes have leopard print faux suede material. They have the zips on the inside, which I much prefer them there than on the back of the shoe.
I love studs and spikes and the back of the shoe has lots of gold ones!

You can dress these shoes up, I think they would look gorj with a black dress, or you can dress them down with a nice pair of skinny jeans! The platform blends into the rest of the shoe and I find them comfy and super easy to walk in so if your not so keen on heels then try these!

The big cats are making a comeback in fashion, or did they ever actually go out?
I don't think they ever will go out of fashion because they are so versatile, they can look sweet, edgy, sophisticated or glamorous - it's how you wear it that makes the difference!

Now, you can wear it without looking like you are crazy, I'm not going to name and shame any celebrities right now but believe me. There are plenty.

A good way without being OTT is to go for accessories, sunglasses, handbags, shoes to spice up an outfit. Rosie Huntington Whitley is rocking that bag, Kelly Rowland has a basic dress with leopard wedges to give her look an edge and I love Fergie's outfit too!

If you like these shoes you can get them here for £24.99 now £17.99!! *in sizes 3-8*

What do you think of these shoes? Would you wear them? Have you got a pair like this?

P.S.

Your gonna' hear me Roaaaaaar!

Heyy! Hope your all well! I don't usually put a post up on Wednesday's as I'm usually at college but I didn't go today as I had a job interview. Oh my god. I get sooo nervous for interviews it's unbelievable! On the way there I felt sick one minute and my head was hurting the next and then when I was in the interview I felt so lightheaded! I actually don't no why though, because I catwalk in front of audiences, and interviews are just me and them? Oh well :s

Ive had lots of exciting parcels I will be posting about so keep an eye out! One of them was this...
Can you guess what it is? :D
The clue is in the title...
Well, it's from Mr.GUGU & Miss GO.
I came across this clothing company on the internet and was very intrigued as they sell many unique products that I hadn't saw before.
'So… Mr. Gugu makes you a dream candidate for the future we dream about. He makes you the cutest child of the age to come. And Miss. Go rules over him just as every beautiful woman rules over her brilliant husband. They both will show you what is worth wearing not only today, and not only tonight, but tomorrow and the age after tomorrow.'
The times have changed, we've often rewound the clock since our grandparents got a shock when they listened to the rock. In olden days a glimpse of inscription on a t-shirt was looked on as something shocking; but now, it seems, anything goes. Designers no now that only using the simplest ideas can make you look stupidly the same. 'The world has gone mad today, and good is bad today, and black is white today, and day is night today.' Personally I think the designs are so crazy, they're cool.

The material on the product is quite thin but very strong and flexible.

Did you guess it right? They are Lion Leggings! :D
Now I hate disco pants, when I see girls in them I think they look a little horsey -.-
And I'd saw printed leggings on the internet or on shop shelves and just thought, 'they are well weird'. Like I saw a blue pair with silver chains printed all over them, but then I saw them on my friend and I thought they were actually really nice! :) Then I thought I would try out some printed leggings, I am a fan of animal prints etc so I picked the lion pair. When I took them out of the bag, again I was a little stunned because they are so in your face.

I went and tried them on and I really really like them! Behold, the full length sparrow legs...
I paired the leggings with some black wedge trainers with a faux fur trim. The leggings have so much going on, I think they look best with minimal detail else where, like black shoes and a plain top. I also have a lion bracelet from hottt.com that goes nicely with these! You can see it here.
I also got some of these Mr GUGU & Miss GO badges :D

If you like these leggings, you can get them here for only 29Euros

What do you think of these leggings? Have you got a pair like these? Would you wear them?

P.S.

Please could you do me a favor? :) Please watch this YouTube video and 'like' and comment on it. It's for a competition, please help me out and I will be more than happy to return the favour! :D

bobble hat, bobble bobble bobble hat

Heyallll! Hope your all okay :D I was back at college last week after the Christmas holidays, Guess what?! It was like the first time I haven't been told off on the Tuesday >.< ... Instead another girl got told off and she ended up walking out and going home, If only I lived near college I could do that when the teacher won't leave me alone ;) Oh and I said to one of my friends that a guy in the cafeteria has nice hair, that's all I said! Then she said when we was going up to class that she thinks he's in the class a couple of doors down. Only he was stood outside our class looking out the window on his phone. Then the rest of the girls decided to be stupid when we was in class, they ran out and asked him what his name was. Then staring at him through the glass on the door... He ended up sticking his head through into the class and asked if he was in trouble?! And then all the girls started being even more stupid. Like what the hell, I simply said he had nice hair and they all start being goons. Thanks -.- That was the first embarrassing thing that happened when I was back at college, I seem to be prone to being clumsy, doing stupid things and being embarrassed -.-

Well I will get onto the post now instead of babbling on..

I received this Laguna purple bobble hat from BritFash...
The hat was a little different to how I imagined it to be... On the website the hat looks quite big and it wasn't actually that big - which is a good thing! I noticed the quality of the hat straight away.
I mean if I compare this to a standard bobble hat I had like the one below

This bobble hat looks nice, but the wool is pretty hard and not as flexible. The hat is very thin so its not the best protection from the harsh winters! I had resulted in not wearing knitted hats because I find them itchy (this was was particularly itchy).

Whereas the Laguna purple bobble hat is super soft, made from laguna yarn with cable detailing. I added a picture to the collage above of a closeup of the hat -
The hat has been finished off with the Stone Union Logo at the front.

The spotlights in my room are a little bright but there is the hat on. I love it! But I decided to give this to M as shes has chemotherapy and now radiotherapy so obviously she has lost her hair and this is a great gift for her as it's so soft and everything she would really appreciate it (M say's thank you to BritFash too) :) If I was going to wear a bobble hat, I would wear this one!
BritFash stock these in a range of colours like: Black, white, blue, berry, grey and oatmeal.

You can get this hat here for £49.99 now £24.99
If you are in Britain then the worst of winter has yet to come, hurry up and get an amazing quality hat that will actually keep you warm!

What do you think of the hat? Do you like it?

Yellow Polka Dot nail tutorial with optional bows

Heyy! :D
I'm back at college tomorrow *boooo* I actually don't mind college I just don't like that days teacher... I constantly get told off. I mean I know I'm a bit immature, I like to have a laugh but I always do my work, the other teachers let us talk while we work - but nooo this one wants us to be silent. All day. -.- Me? Silent? ahaaa I'm only quiet when I'm around people I don't no :s

Because it's new year, sooo many people have made new years resolutions. Most people probably won't even keep them. Apparently this time of year, gyms see the most people signing up, but people drop out after a little while. People say they will go on a diet, not eat chocolate, not drink wine etc. Why make a big sacrifice like that when you won't keep it? I sure as hell wouldn't be able to cut out chocolate completely! O.o Just be healthier and have less, I no it can be easier said than done, but it's easier than having none! Why don't we make resolutions that make us a better person? Like helping more people, to try and make at least one person smile a day, to give without a reason, to give a cup of tea to a homeless person?

Any way I have been promising to film nail art tutorials for a while, instead just showing you the pictures. I told you I've got a little tripod for Christmas and so... I've recorded a nail art tutorial. I have started off with something super simple, as I wasn't sure on how to record the angles and how to film the tutorial in general. I was also nervous with it being my first tutorial so my voice sounds weird :S I will make sure to improve in videos to come! :) I won't be doing as many voice over the videos, I will be speaking on the camera to you, but I am starting off simple :)

This is the basics of this tutorial, I hadn't cleaned up around the edges at this point as I hadn't finished the tutorial. You could wear yours like this if you don't want to do the bows - that's optional. Just make sure to give it a glossy top coat to stop the acrylic paints from coming off and the nail varnish from chipping.

This is the finished polka dot nail art look. I used crystals for the centre of the bows, however if you don't have those then you could use silver nail polish and/or a glitter polish. Like I said, the bows are optional so you could just do the polka dots.

The main nail varnish I used was a 'one coat' By Nella. You can get this from MoYouNails here for £7.99 now £5.49.

Want to see how to create this nail art look?
I have changed my YouTube name to:
' and that is where I will be uploading my nail art tutorials, tips, tricks etc. Please subscribe to my channel :)

The link to this video is here you can find out where I got all the tools and polishes from there too :) Please like the video and subscribe to my channel, there are lots of faboo tings to come! :D

What do you think of this nail art look? Would you wear this? Do you like the tutorial?

My Christmas Makeup and ffh's new badge!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! What was your favourite presents? :D
Its been pretty busy over here, we've been going to the hospital with M for her radio therapy sessions which is obviously not an enjoyable thing, but its making her better so that's good :)

I have gotten lots over products over the holiday which I will be uploading to here and lots of exciting things coming up too! I have now got a mini tripod so I can film nail art tutorials which I will be uploading to my YouTube channel - I have changed the channels name from my name to a nail art one so its easier to find :) please subscribe to it :) I will also be doing special effects makeup tutorials and looks and posting pictures on here and tutorials over there! :D

I received this present parcel from Treasure House Of Makeup who supply Mehron UK makeup and special effects makeup too. If you've read my previous posts I always review the products right down to the packaging, I think if that is presented nicely then the company has spent a little extra time to make you feel special :) Some companies use little organza bags for jewellery, little gift boxes, some put their product in a fancy metallic parcel bag and I've ad some which have just come in a plain parcel bag and the products are loose inside - Not good as sometimes the product breaks and to be honest its just boring.
Treasure House Of Makeup sent me this beaut of a parcel in a bigger box with all what looks like polystyrene wotsits to keep the parcel inside nice and safe. The parcel its self is a box with a lovely covering and a little note from them too :D Mehron, as you might already know - is a professional stage makeup company. This means their products are SERIOUS. I mean people would wear this stuff when they're doing a Broadway show or an America's Next Top Model Photo shoot, so by celebrities!

I received four pots of precious gem powders. These were in Black Onyx, Amethyst, Topaz and Opal. They are powders made with soft silky powder which can have many uses. It can be applied from head to toe for any occasion. You can add a shimmer to your skin for parties, dinners of look faboo at professional performances etc. There are 13 colours in total which you can choose from and are based on birthstone colours. The fist thing I noticed with these powders is that they all sparkle like mad, the opal has a metallic look which almost changes from white to baby pink depending on how you look at it. You only need to use a little bit of these as they are highly pigmented. I have read some reviews saying they are way to pigmented, but I think the main point is that a little goes a long way. Also the drop cloth technique should be used when applying as eye shadow as the sparkles get everywhere aha :P
Mac do a similar product to this which costs £17 each, I'm not brand mad so I don't particularly care about getting the the designer brands, I'll use whats good and works for me. The Mac range is known to be good quality however the price is obviously expensive. They do have more colours to choose from if you want to build your collection, but I would much rather get Mehron's because the quality is soo good, it's used by professionals (so is MAC) but I find that Mehron works well with my skin.
These cost £6.40 each and you can get them here

I have done a colour swatch above going from left - right: Black onyx, Amethyst, Opal, Topaz.
As you can see, the colour is very intense in the centre where I've applied more, and lighter around the edges where I've used less.

I used the Topaz powder on the inner half of my eye and then used the Amethyst on the outer half of my eye. As you can see, I should have used the drop cloth technique as the sparkles just go everywhere :)
I blended the colours in and then I used an eye liner and a brush from Beauties Factory to do the eye liner. Finishing off the look with some Rimmel London Wild Mega Volume Mascara. You can get the brush set here for only £9.99 and the eye liner here for £5.99!... Can anyone tell me what the brush is on the top second from the right?

I usually have a makeup artist do my makeup for photoshoots and catwalks so I am developing my skills of doing my own makeup.

As you may of seen already FashionFixhunter's new Badge was thanks to Treasure House Of Makeup. The badge is at the top left of the blog, if you haven't saw -
I am wearing the eye makeup which I just shown you. I'm also wearing the Velvet Finish Primer Serum - I tend to get really dry skin from exma on my nose so I moisturize and then use a primer, although sometimes that's not even good enough.
I've tried lots of different brands, of moisturizers and primers and most are just no use to me. This primer is super thick compared to others I've tried and it gives a super smooth base for the foundation. I only wear a little of tinted serum on my nose and chin because they are slightly pinker than the rest of my face, my skin is alright apart from that :) You can get that here for £18.23
I applied a little bit of the Glosstone 'Red Kiss' which I was a little weary about as I never really wear red lipstick or gloss, I'm not that brave aha :P
Actually, I quite liked it - it was smooth and wasn't sticky what so ever yet it looked glossy and healthy. You can get this here for £6.02.

There will be more makeup posts coming up featuring Mehron products, including tutorials, moodboards/pinboards, trends and get the celeb look, and also Special Effects Tutorials!! I will be using these products incorporated with special effects to create some awesome looks you can follow and do yourself :) This post was basically just to introduce you to the Mehron brand and Treasure House Of Makeup and show you the blogs new badge :D

What do you think of the Mehron products? Have you ever tried them? Are you excited to see some special effects? What do you think of the blogs new badge? :)

merry Christmas!! and Nail Art

Hiii! I have been awake since 1am last night because it was sooo hot as my dad had got the fire to heat the whole house up wayyy to much! I ended up going up to bed about 2pm after dinner and my dad came up and woke me up about 4! whutt?!

I've had lots of nice presents, some clothes, nail art things, a hairdryer, One Direction annual, calendar, book and album and... A mini tripod! :D... perfect for filming nail art! So if you like my nail art I've done on FashionFixHunter Previously then you might want to subscribe to my YouTube channels I've set up, I'm not sure which one I will upload the nail art tutorials too so you could subscribe to both one and two.

So I've finally listened to One Direction's new album - My parents asked me not to listen to it on YouTube or anything and O.M.G! :D love love loveee! My sisters moving out in January so I FINALLY get my own bedroom :))) I am redocorating it all with zebra print on one wall, the others silver with a photo collage on and some other ideas. (I'll post pictures on here when Its all done) I am going to have a verse of One Directions lyrics on one wall, but before I heard the album I was going to have Harry's bit and a bit of the chorus from Story of my life... Now I'm kinda torn between some from 'Strong' 'You and I' or 'dont forget where you belong' Is there any 1d fans out there, any ideas? :)

M has now started her radio therapy, and I like to do her nails, manicure, pedicure and all that to pamper her a little because she is inspirational and so brave! She doesn't like nail art that is really in your face, I hate my nails to look naked or half naked, they like to be dressed up :D
I did struggle to do her nails because shes bit them shorter than her fingers. I do have falsies but she said it wouldn't be good for cooking in case they fall in. She ended up wanting shnowmans! I forgot to wipe around the edges before I took the photo but oh well!

As I said I do like my nails to be more detailed and I often end up doing my left hand and not being able to do my right because my left hand is just a turd.
I did these the other day, they took a while to do aha >.< But once I got going its pretty easy and quick. Like I said, my right hand was a little harder to do.
The amount of people that have said nice things about this nail art is amazing! I keep being told I should start ainting other peoples nails as they think I could make money from it. I don't think I'm good enough and I'd be scared of painting someones nails and making a right mess of it.

I've only just got acrylic paints, both of these Christmas nail art looks I did using the paints and teeny brushes and needles to do the fine details. I will have to get use to doing nail art with acrylic paints because I love the way you can wipe it off with water and do it again if you do go wrong, you can mix colours, make things look more 3D etc and I think it pretty much beats nail varnish for nail art. I use a base coat varnish, top coat varnish always with acrylic paints, the first nail art - the blue background is nail varnish.

I'm going out tomorrow to a family friends with my family tomorrow for a Christmas dinner. Going to a families one day this week for a Christmas dinner... All these Christmas dinners?! D: I'm all about the puddings me, you can't get bored of cake and chocolate and ice cream oufff :D

What do you think of these nail arts? Is there any nail art looks I've done you want a tutorial for now that I have a tripod?

Herra Hair Care Perfume #blogmas

Hiii! ... I didn't go into college today as they were just going to be playing games and not working. So instead I stayed at home and have been doing my coursework here :) I've just been told off for not peeling the potatoes - I completely forgot while doing my work! So I started this post and had to leave it for a while O.O

If you a follower of this blog you may of seen my post about How to fix damaged hair, if you haven't you can read it here if you want to. So because I have started being much healthier I also decided to look after everything and be happier about myself in general.

I have looked into ways of washing your hair which can damage or help it, what DIY masks you can make at home, what you can eat to help your hair to be healthier. I had heard of a hair perfume before but a lot of the reviews were bad saying it smelt like sugar (I don't think that one had any benefits for your hair). I like sugar, I love sugar! But I wouldn't wan't walk past someone and they be like 'she stinks of sugar'.. That would be weird ahaa.. You may as well have candy floss on your head.
*Nicki Minaj and lady gaga are both cool, but these hair styles remind me of candy floss. :P

I had been looking into hair perfumes that have good effects, not just smells good. I want my hair to look good, smell lush and feel good too :D
As you should already no, hair absorbs scents really well, which isn't a good thing - sometimes. Like if one of my friends smoke near me I can smell my hair later and they made it smell like fags *great* -.-
I proper hate the smell of cigarettes! D: Also, if I put perfume on before I go to college, the scent ends up fading away before the end of the day. I know some of my friends spray normal perfume in their hair (you shouldn't do this as it's not good for your hair and also dries it out). I remember seeing a hairdryer advertised yearsss ago that has hair perfume in it which it blows and infuses into your hair, but I never saw it again.. So I have got a product from Herra which is the hair perfume.

Herra's signature fragrance is a blend of the finest key notes creating a fresh modern, uplifting experience that appeals to all. The ingredients include: Italian bergamot, loquat fruit, midnight orchid, rose, white jasmine, mimosa, heliotrope, lily, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and musk.
The glycerin in it helps provide ample hydration and seals in moisture, without weighing down the hair. There is also sunflower extract protects the structure of the hair. It helps provide protection against UV and can prevent colour fade, whilst olive fruit extract is rich in antioxidants that help shield the hair against pollution and free radicals.
The box and the bottle both look really nice and really good quality. The name for this brand came from 'Hera, the Greek Goddess of beauty and fragrance' Herra felt this was the perfect fit.
I spray a little bit of this into the air then do some headbanging though it ;) so it mixes with all my hair rather than the top layer. I love loveee the sent of this perfume and I can smell it all day on my hair. It's not too over powering though and it's not too sweet. When I have been in class other people have walked in and said how nice some ones perfume is, the teacher said "oh that's mine" only the person then went round the room and said it was my hair and the teacher looked embarrassed.. Which I found rather amusing :P Oh and when I was in my dad's van on the way home from college he put the heaters on and my hair was waving around in the air - Like Jedward! And my hair smelled sooo good! :D I think if someones hair smells good, you definitely notice them!

If you spray normal perfume on your hair. please stop, it's not good for your hair!
You can get this Herra perfume here for £24.99, I only use a little bit so it lasts a long time. I mean it keeps your hair hydrated, protects against pollution - when I went to London with college I made sure I took this as the air there is different to where I live, it's like you can feel the polluted air :s It would be a great present for someone special at Christmas too!

What do you think of this product? Do you use a perfume or thinking of using one?

Random post at college

I'm at college today and I am bored, it's the last week of college before we are on our Christmas holidays so were playing games, making Christmas cards and doing nothing educational in general. If were just going to play games I may as well go home, I'd rather learn at college or there's no point in going! -.- Sooo I'm just going to do a random post and blab on about anything really :P

My mum brought me home a walnut whip on Sunday for looking after my little brother while my parents went Christmas shopping. I had no idea what one was, if you don't then there's a picture below
It had marshmallow stuff inside so I bit the walnut off at the top and stuck my tongue into the marshmallow... I got my flipping tongue stuck, it was like pulling my tongue in and I couldn't get it  back out! These things are dangerous, it's actually cut under my tongue and it's still sore! ahaa, telling people I got my tongue stuck in a walnut whip though -.- Hasn't anybody else done this?.. O.O
I put it in on Google to see what came up and some has actually put that there is a 'health and safety issue' of 'getting your tongue stuck in these - You can read it here
It's not the stupidest thing I've done though, I mean the amount of clumsy stuff I do is unbelievable! :P

I can't believe how close it is to Christmas! We put out tree up a little early this year
Before you ask, I decorated the tree... I put every single bauble on there and it looks very pretty ;)
Christmas for me has never been about the presents - of course I like them, I mean who doesn't?
Christmas has always been about spending time with the family and close friends, that's what I love about Christmas. Even more so this year, my dad had a motorbike accident and was badly injured, this year M has been ill and fighting cancer. I hadn't said what M was ill from yet on this blog I just said she was poorly but now you no. I am so proud of both of them and so this Christmas I'm celebrating what I have already, not taking anything for granted.
I still have to get my parents and my little brother presents, I'm not sure what to get them yet but I always get my mum something meaningful :)
I wish that all of you have a merry merry Christmas and a prosperous new year :D
To any of you out there that are poorly or no someone that's poorly, my thoughts and wishes are with you all

Have you got your Christmas decorations up? Have you done all your Christmas shopping? Are you looking forward to the new year? You can leave a random comment since this is a 'random post' ;)

PinkyParadise circle lenses

**A circle lens is a type of contact lens that is particularly popular among those in the Eastern, they create the effect of a larger iris. In the eastern countries, the circle lens could be considered as makeup as they are so common to be worn on a daily basis by so many people. A Circle lens is a cosmetic contact lens, also generally known as big eye circle contacts, which has a wide black ring on the outside widens your eyes’ iris, creating an adorable appearance that you'll fall in love with. Circle lenses are really reputable in countries like South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and other Asian countries, but they're starting to become popular across the globe because Lady Gaga wore them in her “Bad Romance” music video. Lady Gaga’s eyes were probably partially computer generated, so their lenses won’t have quite the same effect- but they will make your eyes look wider and larger.**

I got a pair circle lenses from Pinky Paradise a few months ago, I wrote a basic post about them here. I have been trying to get these things in for the time I have had them, I have used blue contact lenses before from a UK retailer and after a little practice I got them in easy. I liked those blue ones while I was indoors, however when I went outside they almost 'glew' and they looked like lizard or snake eyes or something... I thought that was pretty cool but other people was like 'OH my god, how come your eyes are so bright?!'

So when it came to picking a pair of circle lenses from Pinky Paradise I thought I should go for a natural colour that blends in well with my eye colour. There are many celebrities that wear circle lenses such as Lady GaGa, Paris Hilton etc - you can see them on my previous post.
I had been trying to get these in for w while, which made my eyes quite sore but I finally got them in last night! I came down stairs to show my parents, but they had some friends over. One of their friends was lecturing me on the dangers of circle lens's I was just like 'Oh my Gawddd'. She was going on about how normal contact lens's are made for your eyes so they are the right shape/size etc so these can damage my eyes - I don't no about that one... She was also saying how you can get infections from them - Well I followed all of the instructions, used the proper solution etc checked that they were clear etc. If they wasn't clear and I hadn't of followed the instructions, I wouldn't have put them in my eyes as that could be dangerous. I checked hundreds of reviews on Pinky Paradises website, other peoples blogs, facebook pages etc and I was pretty happy.
I had just gotten out the shower and dried my hair so its all poofy and crazy -.-
Basically the top one is my natural eye colour, middle is my right eye with the lens in and bottom one has both lenses in. The lighting does change in the photos as I had to put the lights on. My natural eye colour is brown... But on these photos it looks greeny brown, any whoooo :P
The lenses definitely make my eyes look bigger, and I think more doll like.  These are worn daily in some countries, however I wouldn't do that. I mean it could be part of their makeup routine to wear these... But I don't wear makeup most of the time unless I'm going out-out, or I want to look nicer so I would wear them more for occasions I think. I might wear them to college, but it would never be something where I'm like 'I have to put in my lenses!' everyday. I get up at 6 and have an hour before I have to leave for college so it's easier not to wear makeup etc - Unless I get a spot that looks like a bus would crash on it, then I'll cover it up :P These are amazing though! I love the effect it gives and I'm pretty sure these would look awesome on a photo shoot!

I don't no how to tell if the lens is inside out, on the website it said 'The correct position of lenses should follow the right side panel. If you come across the left side panel, it means the lens is turned inside out.' I just left them the way they were in the bottle.

What I thought:
It took me ages to get them in (were talking a few months) because I hate going near my eyes and I cant help but flicker them around like a scared butterfly or something - So I won't blame that on the lenses.Once I actually got them in it took like a minute or so for my eye to stop running then they were fine. Although the right lens, I could see double vision - blurred around the edges of objects.
I loved the effect it gave to my eyes, they were more striking and you just have to look at them. They blend really nicely into my eye colour, it's the black ring around the edges that makes my eyes appear to be bigger. For some reason it reminded me of on Twilight when the vampires are hungry...

These lenses are the MiMi Chocolate Brown which you can get by going to their website and putting 'Geo Princess MiMi Chocolate Brown' into their product search bar. They cost $23.90, however they deliver internationally (I'm from the UK and I have got them). These lenses last a year from opening, however you must change the solution every time you use the lenses. It comes with a free animal case - mine was some cute yellow elephant ones :) It also came with a free gift, which looks like pink Velcro of some kind, it wasn't in English but there was a picture on the packet with a girl using it o pull her hair back so she can put her lenses in.

how to fix damaged hair and how to make DIY hair masks

Summer is gone in the UK now, and many of us are left with damaged hair. Days at the beach, sun damage or heat damage, you name it. I often find that the winter is no good on my hair either, I spend a lot of time outside with my friends and brother sledging, once down big hills where there was a lake at the bottom and a power box halfway down. I ended up crashing into the power box and broke my toes - no biggie, it was only 4 on my left foot ;) *I do not recommend doing silly things, I'm just stupid*. This weather sometimes leads to my hair literally freezing as theirs damp air and it snows so its like frozen grass or something..

To help your hair recover from the summer and protect it from the winter, you can buy products like hair serum, sprays, hair masks, I know I've been into stores and there are so many products and I didn't no where to start. You can buy store bought products or you can make your own. Do you no how? That's okay, I'm going to put some recipes below that you can make to help your locks recover and stay lovely, shiny and healthy :)

I have done a LOT of research on how to get your hair healthy and I am now on the road to having mine all nice again. A lot of people don't notice with my hair, it's fine and a blondy shade so the split ends aren't as visible to others. My hair is mainly hard to deal with when it's wet :/ I will share with you what my hair was like and what I am doing to improve it.

At one point when I wasn't eating very good, my hair went super dry and especially my fringe, I mean it felt like straw! I think I had also been having my showers too hot, I literally put it as hot as it can go. Having showers that are to hot. Rinsing your hair with hot water too often can leave the hair overly porous, causing it to be dry and brittle. Unfortunately, hot water seems to be a double-edged sword. Just as hot water helps to rinse away oil and dirt, it also strips your hair of its natural oils. The sebaceous glands in your skin produce natural oils called “sebum” that are essential for your hair’s health. Sebum gives the hair shine and strength, both of which are vital for beautiful hair. I have been lowering the showers temperature and also drying my hair on a cooler setting (I mostly don't have time to let it dry naturally unless I'm on holiday or during the college breaks).
Cold showers are of hot water, cold water closes the pores and prevents dirt from entering and accumulating on the scalp. It also closes the hairs cuticle, this seals in the moisture from the conditioner that you have applied to your hair. Whereas hot water can remove the moisture from your hair, cold water actually retains the moisture and the natural sebum that’s so beneficial. Don’t forget, more moisture means less frizz. Cold water retains your hair’s moisture, leaving your hair less prone to frizz. Sometimes stylists like to end a blow dry with by a blast of cold air because it leaves the hair shiny. The same concept can be applied to a cold water rinse. Cold water is known to smooth the hair by closing the scales of your hair cuticle, which in turn prevents frizz and adds luster to your locks. With that I have been washing my hair with warm water and washing the shampoo out like that, then I rinse out the conditioner with cool water (I don't apply the conditioner to my roots or I find it hard to get out) giving my hair a quick cold rinse after I have washed out the products as it helps give it shine, prevents frizz and seals in moisture.

Just doing using cold water to rinse out the conditioner has made my hair more manageable, when my hair was wet it had a weird texture, I don't even no how to describe it :s
I brush my hair with a royal cosmetics hair brush which detangled my hair really good, however I've read endless articles insisting on using a wide tooth comb, so this is going to be my next step too. There are also those 'Tangle Teaser' things which I'm not so sure on by the look of them but I might give them a go.

There is a strand test which you can do yourself to see what condition your hair is in and it could give an indication of how to treat your hair.
1. start with a strand of wet hair (pull one out)
2. take the wet hair and carefully stretch it

If your hair strand stretches:
- 15% - 20% and then bounces back = your hair is balanced
- A lot and then breaks off = you are lacking moisture and protein
- and continues to stretch and does not return to its original state = your lacking protein
- If it doesn't stretch and breaks off = your lacking moisture

Above is a video clip from ElekrikTV on how to test your hair for porosity. Porosity can be caused by many factors such as dying your hair, heat damage (straightening, curling, blow drying etc) shampoos whit a ph of 5.5 or higher, chemical treatments that lift/open up the cuticle (relaxers, permanent colour treatment, texturizers, lighteners etc) and ultraviolet light from the sun, and showers that are too hot.

This video above from dove, I haven't tried the product but I do think its claims are pretty high so I will have get it and try that one out and rate it... Or slate it. I hate when products brag about being sooo good and then they are just like any other ordinary products. If this Dove treatment works I will be impresses ;)

I have tried several store bought hair treatments all bought from Superdrugs, such as:
'TRESemmé Platinum Strength visibly repairs up to 2 years of damage in just 5 uses* giving you stronger, more manageable and beautifully healthy hair. The Platinum Strength’s Renewing Complex not only reinforces hair’s naturally protective layer but also helps restore your hair, protecting it against future damage.'
I have found this product to strengthen my hair, however I am rotating my shampoos and conditioners so my hair doesn't get use to anything and also different products have different benefits. I wouldn't say it has reversed 2 years of damage as my hair was good then and it isn't as good now. I definitely notice a difference in how smooth my hair feels, it has more 'life' and it doesn't get tangled up like it had been doing. I haven't used the full 'platinum strength' range however I think its a really good range.
2. TRESemmé Split Remedy Serum 30ml- £5.69 Now £2.79
'Split Remedy Sealing Serum creates a flawless smooth finish by helping to reduce split ends, taming frizz and sealing in shine. Lightweight for daily use, your hair will be left silky smooth and with a healthy salon shine. Use on wet hair or the ends of dry hair to tame and restore smoothness. Split Remedy range, proven to reduce split ends by up to 80% after just 3 uses!*'
I have been using this product for a couple of months, I use this every time I get out the shower, I apply to the ends of my hair and my fringe.
I have had my hair trimmed a few times while using this product (I am not one that likes cutting her hair). I have found that I still have split ends, but not as many as I did have. I think my hair is just quite week, so I will need to strengthen it using hair masks etc.  My fringe has no split ends anymore, i also apply this to areas where my hair is is a worse condition  at the side of my fringe, I definitely think the condition is improving. I only need to use a tiny bit of this product to apply so it's pretty long lasting.
3. Got2B Guardian Angel- £3.99 Now £2.99
'With up to 220°C heat protection, your hair will be invincible when using hot irons + blow-dryers.So, go ahead and creat your hot styles, now you have your own guardian angel protecting you! Be divine and shine!'
I have been using this product for a few months and it's about half empty now. I love this product as it protects from heat damage, I apply before blow drying and I find that when I apply to wet hair, my hair is much more manageable and de-tangles much easier.
'TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray helps shield hair from the damaging effects of heat styling while sealing in a beautiful shine.'
I have used this product before I started using the Got2B Guardian Angel, I liked this as when you blow dry your hair downwards it helps your hair to be smooth. However I found that my hair got greasier quicker.

A few products I am going to get:

This can be used as it is or you can use it to make other recipes for hair or even face masks! Reduced to £1.52, I'm going to get one of these tomorrow I don't miss out on a deal like that!
'Discover rejuvenated, healthy hair with Vatika Naturals Egg Protein Rejuvenating Shampoo!
Enriched with powerful natural extracts of Egg and Honey that help repair and rejuvenate damaged hair, giving you healthier looking hair, naturally!'
If your hair is lacking in protein, this product could be the answer to your problems! I am going to try this one when I get it :) The price seems pretty good, this is the sort of hair mask you can leave in your hair for a bit and put you STBD shower cap over it to keep the heat in making the mask more effective.
3. THIS ONE Replenishing Treatment 150ml- was £4.49 Now £1.71
'A rich conditioning treatment, perfect for pampering and a delight when hair seems dry, damaged and dull. INGREDIENTS: Contains Cocoa and Shea Butter, Black Oat, Wheat Protein, and Panthenol known to help strengthen hair.'
This hair mask contains lots of ingredients vital for beautiful hair, with protein, oils etc to help multiple areas of problems with hair. I'm going to go and get this one today on the way back from college, I mean £1.71! :)

DIY Recipes:
I am now going to share with you some recipes I have found out that are good for your hair. There are so many recipes out there that you could try. I am going out to get the coconut oil after I get out from college and I am going to start trying out these masks as well once a week. I will be updating you on the condition of my hair, what products I've used, like etc :D

Coconut hair mask recipe:
Coconut oil smells yummy and it's also the perfect lightweight moisturizer for your thirsty strands.
2 parts Coconut oil
1 part Olive oil (optional)

1. Combine coconut and olive oil in a small bowl and mix well.
2. Shower/bath in a warm shower as hot water and steam naturally open the pores
2. You can then apply the mixture to your hair, focusing on the mid lengths and ends
3. Put your hair up into a shower cap (I recommend STBD) and leave on for 15-30 minutes (depending on how damaged your hair is) this helps keep the heat in too.
4. Rinse out in the shower with cool water - this helps lock in the moisture remember ;)
5. Shampoo and condition as usual
Avocado hair mask recipe:
(This recipe is good for all hair types)
Avocados are rich in a variety of vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin E and protein, both of which your hair needs to remain soft and healthy. Meanwhile, honey is a natural antibacterial agent.

Cut and scoop out all of the flesh from a ripened avocado and mix in a tablespoon of organic honey. Apply to hair, put on a shower cap and let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off in the shower.

Olive Oil and Egg hair mask recipe:
(for dry hair)
The olive oil will help hydrate brittle locks, while the protein in the eggs will promote healthy hair growth.

Is your hair in need of some major TLC?  Well then mix three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil with two eggs and apply the mixture to your hair, put on a shower cap and then let the mixture sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off in the shower.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon
Apple cider vinegar will remove build up from styling products and conditioners and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, shiny strands. It will also balance hair’s pH level, kill bacteria, and is a cure for dandruff.

Mix 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with the grated peel of the whole lemon, apply to hair, concentrate on the roots and scalp. Put on a shower cap and allow it to set for 15 minutes to absorb the excess oil from your scalp, and then rinse in the shower.

I know that was a pretty long post! I hope it has helped any of you having hair problems, I know it can be hard to find what you are looking for so I have basically tried to pack as much as I can in one post... Resulting in like a bible of hair or something :P

Who else isn't happy with their hair? Has anybody tried these hair mask recipes? Have you tried any of the products I've listed? Or any I'm going to get?
