Fishtail Headband from Beauty Works

Hi! I was going to upload this post yesterday, I just started writing it and then realized I must have accidentally deleted the folder with the photos I took for Beauty Works, I spent all day trying to get them back and then about 7pm I thought. Give up now. So today, my mum, brother and I went out for the morning and ended up going around some shops with an elderly lady who is one of my parents friends, and helping her back home with her trolley thing. We stopped off for some ice cream and then walked back. One thing I love about her is that she is always happy, smiling and generally so welcoming. Goshh! it sure is hot today!... Back to the point aha... I have re-taken the photo's today as I didn't want to keep this post or Beauty Works waiting.

I received a parcel which I opened up and it was a Fishtail Headband from Beauty Work.

I have reviewed a fishtail braid here on ffh and I just love fishtail braids! They can be so effective on their own, or you can use them to put your own spin on a hairstyle which would usually be a bit boring.

Beauty Works had asked me for a few recent photos of my hair so they could colour match the fishtail plait headband. I sent some along, but I was thinking that they may not find a match. For the simple reason, my hair flickers between two colours, lighter blonde and a darker blonde with a yellowish tint the day after I wash my hair. Anyway, the picture above is the fishtail plait in the shade Boho Blonde (613/27) and if you type the number into the search box on their website, a whole range of products will come up in that same shade.

The plait headband I was sent looks so realistic, this colour band has a range of tones of blonde so it blends into your hair easier. The fishtail band looks so nice and is such good quality.

The headband has an adjustable strap on the back so you can make it tighter or looser depending on your head size or the hair style you are going to create.

Here I am wearing the headband from Beauty Works with a simple low side pony tail tied with a pop band. I did this so easily, by sectioning the back half of my hair behind my ears and sliding the headband in. To blend the hairband in i brushed my hair around into a side ponytail. You don't have to do a side pony, there are so many styles you can create like adding it to a bun, wearing it lower towards the forehead with the hair up, you could do your hair into a plait and have this band on too.

Dianna Agron - An American actress, singer, dancer, producer, writer and director wears her hair up in a messy do with a simple fishtail band over the top. Without the fishtail band, the hair style would look boring, and messy. However with the fishtail plait, the messiness looks like it's meant to be there and the plait completes the look. 

I found out this pink hair flower which I have had for a while but hardly ever use it. I thought this would look nice with the fishtail headband, it has a hair clip and a hair band on the back so there you can use it multiple ways. You can pull your hair back with the clip, or use it as a hair tie. I love this, but I just think because its pretty big it should be worn at the right time with the right things.

Above, I have used the hair band on the back of the flower to use over the popband. I think the overall look is very simple but pretty cute at the same time. As I said I dont usually wearthis flower often, but now I think this hairstyle is going to be one for college. It's so quick and easy to do in the mornings when I get up for college at 6am and can't really be bothered and don't have much time to do much.
